Kammerchor Manila took on the 63rd Certamen de Habanera y Polyfonia held on July 17 - 23 in Torrevieja, Spain as its third and final competition for the year of 2017. The group earned the first prize in the Habanera Category and the second prize in the Polyphony.
For the Habaneras Category, the group performed Marinero by Miguel Asins Arbo, Nina Merse by Federico Moreno Torroba and Manuel Tamayo, followed by the obligatory piece entitled Son Tus Ojos by Andrés Moreno and Ricardo Lafuente.
As for the Polyphony Category, they showcased Gloria by Hyowon Woo and Kaisa-isa Niyan by NIlo Alcala.

Kammerchor Manila also joined the 1st Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival held on July 11 - 14, 2017 in Florence, Italy and became the Grad Prix Winner with three Gold Diplomas as the category winners of:

"Mixed Choir Category" | Gold Diploma Level III (96.25 points)

"Modern and Contemporary Music Category" | Gold Diploma Level III (97.81 points)
-
"Popular, Folk, Gospel, Barbershop, Jazz, Modern Ensembles Category" | Gold Diploma Level III (96.56 points)
The group was also awarded 2nd place in the "Sacred Music Category" | Gold Diploma Level III (95.94 points).
The festival kicked off with all the choirs singing their respective national anthems followed by a one song of their choice as sort of a meet and greet between all of the participants of the competition. In the following days, KM competed in four different categories: Mixed Choir; Sacred Music; Popular, Folk, Gospel, Barbershop Jazz and Modern Ensembles; and Modern and Contemporary Music. The group also performed in a series of friendship concerts held in different venues which featured the works of Leonardo da Vinci.
Apart from emerging as the overall winner, Kammerchor Manila also garnered the following awards and special prizes: "Best Male Soloist" to Rey John Regis as the tenor soloist of Let it Be Arranged by Ryan Cayabyab and the "Audience Prize" or the people choice award. The Replica of “La Battaglia di Anghiari” by Leonardo da Vinci was bestowed upon the group for winning the Grand Prix.
Among the songs they performed were “Kaisa-Isa Niyan” by Nilo Alcala and “Her Sacred Spirit Soars” by Eric Whitacre.

INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL & COMPETITION
Kammerchor Manila embarked on its first chorale competition for 2017: the "8th Musica Eterna Roma International Choir Festival and Competition", held on July 5 - 9, 2017 at the Santi Apostoli (Church of the Twelve Apostles) in Rome, Italy. The group became one of the five finalist who competed in the Grand Prix Round with 3 Gold Diplomas:
"Mixed Choirs Category" | Category Winner | Gold Diploma Level VI (25.59 points)
"Gospel and Spiritual Category" | Gold Diploma Level VII (26.83 points)
"Musica Sacra Category" | Gold Diploma Level V (25.43 points)
The group competed in the following categories: Mixed Choirs, Gospel and Spiritual, and Musica Sacra. Apart from competing, the group also performed in friendship concerts, had a coaching session by Mr. Gábor Hollerung, and sang in a private Eucharistic celebration Capella del Coro (Chapel of the Choir) inside St. Peter's Basilica.
